HEALING & PRAYER REQUESTS
Recently introduced earlier in 2018, the Bereavement ministry at St. Alban’s church serves for those who have recently lost a loved one and for those who have lost someone dear in their lives.
Through prayer and remembrance we ask god for his help in our time of grief
as we support one another in such difficult times.
Our bereavement services, created by Dn. Corrine Smith are for those who have lost someone close creating a time to reflect in a candle-lit service held at nearby Ventnor Cemetery Chapel.
As we read the names of our loved ones and place a votive candle on the altar to resemble our friends and families we give thanks to god for their lives and pray
for eternal life through Christ our Lord. After the service, we offer hot and cold refreshments, giving a time for a social gathering as part of the community.
Please keep an eye out for our next Bereavement service; we invite all to join us.
For those in the parish who would like a private visitation by one of our clergy, please contact Dn. Corrine Smith or Fr. John Ryder.
Both our mother-church of All Saints' and here at St. Alban's we support those who wish to have a traditional Christian funeral. Whether you would like a funeral in church or at the I.W. Crematorium, our priest will be able to advise you further. Our church Choir is available for funerals and our priest will be able to speak
about availability in more detail.
Here at St. Alban’s we do not have a cemetery, however we are in the process of applying for a cremation garden for the interment of ashes. More details to come.
